There’s a serious amount of snow on the ground in north vancouver above the freeway. we have at least 6 inches of fresh snow today

1st run of 09 was in knee deep powder – hill was very quiet this morning – though lots of keeners enjoying the pow and deserted runs.

lots of black ice in north van this morning, now melted. locals freak at my controlled 180’s in Yaris, Still best way to get in driveway.

Cypress Mountain – snowing and windy – lots of fresh cornmeal like powder – yeah. road is slippery up top / foggy / great riding this morn

Cypress bowl road is probably the cleanest stretch of pavement in the lower mainland. Nice work gang.

verdict: north van snow clearing crews should be sent to Wpg for a few weeks to learn how to actually PLOW the snow OFF the road . sheesh.

back from a morning of boarding on Cypress, home to shovel more snow so the postie can make it up the walk tomorrow.
